Dearest Gentle Reader, To my Bridgerton fans out there, I know how much you loved watching Penelope and Colin this season.Did you binge-watch Season 3 as quickly as I did?Once we start watching, we just can't stop!In my work, I focus on teaching boundaries and how to find a voice in one’s own life, setting aside guilt to prioritize personal needs. While Penelope did not have a voice in her own life, she found great power behind her quill. And that power ultimately gave her a voice in the final episode (#8) of the season. We also see how she did not have many boundaries as she allowed her mama and sisters to belittle or overlook her. It wasn’t until Colin demanded that Lady Featherington speak to Penelope with respect that things started to change.Colin was the one who established that boundary.Boundaries are complex. We all know we need them, but many of us struggle to articulate and enforce them.Join me on June 21st at 1:30 pm EST to learn the 3 essential components of setting boundaries (a recipe that, once practiced, becomes easy to follow) and, more importantly, how to find the voice to assert them.Register here:https://lnkd.in/exshTxbQ

For those of you who say YES when you mean NO, listen up. You likely know you have problems with boundaries, you just don’t know how to do things differently. That’s because you are dealing with symptoms, NOT the core issue.(See Amanda's story below!)Join me in a Masterclass"Regain Control: Master the Art of Setting Boundaries to Reduce Overwhelm"on Friday June 21st@ 1:30pm EST. We will work at what is standing in the way of your boundaries at work and at home. Many women come to me for this very reason. Let me share the story of my dear client, Amanda. Amanda came to me this year wanting to burn down her career. She was exasperated on that first Zoom call. Although successful and well perceived in her field, she could NOT STAND ONE MORE DAY in her chosen field. She often felt overwhelmed, overworked and anxious. I told her what I tell all my clients – DON’T quit your job, stick with me for 6 months and if you hate it at the end of our time together, then leave. I also shared that at the end of 6 months she would be unrecognizable to herself. I walked her through EXACTLY how I would help her. I asked her to trust the process of coaching and my abilities to guide her.Within a few short months,, Amanda started to implement healthy boundaries at work and in her life. She found her voice as was able to say NO to current and prospective clients. And most importantly, she got at the source of why she didn’t have any boundaries in the first place. What she learned is that she derives her self-worth from praise. It doesn’t matter who the other person is, as long as they are praising her. A long time ago, unbeknown to herself, Amanda made up the belief that “In order to be loved, I have to be the best, always, no matter what.” And being the best and receiving praise meant taking on endless amounts of work, saying yes, and constantly saying no to herself. After 2 months of working together, Amanda is reporting the following:·She is “clearing the decks” (as she calls it) by using her team to firmly manage her calendar.·She has focused, uninterrupted time for important projects.·Says NO to prospective clients and hands out referrals.·She is better able to manage time and is experiencing much less anxiety.·She spends chunks of time away from her email and can do so without feeling stressed or anxious.·She is starting to seek worth from herself and asks “How do I feel about this?”·She is learning to deprioritize what external forces think about her.·She’s taking painting classes, reads more and is baking cakes.·She is opening up to the idea of love again in her life. Join me on Friday June 21stto get your OWN insights into your situation. Together we will look at your boundaries and start getting curious as to what’s really not allowing you to hold them the way you want. Register here: https://lnkd.in/exshTxbQ

This is Cate Stillman, my coach since 2016. I got to finally meet her in person in March of this year in Punta de Mita, Mexico. I started working with her when I was a marketing executive, burned out and dealing with health challenges that impacted my voice. I could barely speak the first time we met in a zoom call. (Remember Cate??)She helped me to reverse the burnout I was experiencing. I learned how to heal the underlying patterns that were impacting my health. And most importantly, I learned how to deal with the guilt that would strike me when I wasn't productive or high achieving enough.I soon realized that my ambitious nature was deeply impacting my physical and mental well-being. How could I continue to be ambitious while also caring for myself? Could the two co-exist? Back in those days, I remember showing up to work and hiding the fact that I was struggling as much as I was. I would make sure another team member did the client presentations or I would delegate tasks to avoid being seen. I would hide. And pray that no one would find out how much I was struggling. Or how challenging it was for me to show up to work. Everyday.I know what it is to HAVE to show up in a job and yet desperately crave healing and rest more than anything. If you or someone you love is dealing with a health issue and MUST show up to work everyday, join me for a 60-min discussion on Tuesday May 28th at 10am EST to learn how to MANAGE STRESS & YOUR MIND. This is especially demanding if you are dealing with an illness or disability that you choose to keep hiddenThrough my coaching journey, I learned that YES, being ambitious and tending to my health can co-exist. I work with women every single day that are experiencing the ability to step into both. It's incredible to watch them hold their power and their self care at the same time. Join me on Tuesday, May 28th at 10am EST! Register here: https://lnkd.in/eirCvCRu

Dealing with a Hidden Illness or Disability at Work?Join my webinar on Tuesday May 28th at 10am EST to learn how to MANAGE STRESS & YOUR MIND when facing chronic health challenges at work. This is especially demanding if you are dealing with an illness or disability that you choose to keep hidden.- Do you wake up wondering if your body is going to function today? - Do you worry about what people will think about you if they really knew what you are dealing with? - Do you spend a lot of mental energy asking yourself how long will you be able to continue like this?- Do you sometimes wish that you could walk away from work and solely focus on your health? But then you realize that you must find the strength to press forward because the medical bills and treatments need to be paid. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, employees dealing with chronic health conditions or disabilities are at a higher risk of experiencing burnout compared to their healthy counterparts. The stress of managing their health along with work responsibilities can lead to decreased productivity, emotional exhaustion and feeling indifferent towards work situations. If you or someone you love is dealing with this very particular pain, I invite you to join me on May 28th at 10am EST. We will explore a very specific mindset model that can help impact your thoughts and feelings. You will walk away with one insight or action item to help support you in your workday. This conversation is open to all people. I am close to this topic because this used to be me. Register here: https://lnkd.in/eirCvCRu
